Coyotes Take on the Mississauga Olympians.

The family day long weekend brought us some much anticipated sunshine and an extra day to enjoy watching our young athletes compete in sporting events.  Parents and families of the Coyote track team traveled to the Toronto Track and Field Centre (TTFC) to participate in a full day of racing at the Mississauga Olympians U18 track & field meet on Sunday February 19th

Georgian Bay Coyotes Track Club


Who Are We?
The Georgian Bay Coyotes Track Club is a non-profit organization, which started in August 2010.  We are a registered track club with Athletics Ontario (AO) and the Ontario Minor Track and Field Association (MTA).

Our MISSION is to provide quality coaching and training for middle and long distance runners of all ages.  

Our VISION is to help each athlete achieve their personal best in a positive and uplifting environment.

There is an initial non-refundable $20 fee to try out with the team.

Fees for returning members in 2023 are $125 for Jan 1 - Dec 31.
Fees for new members in 2023 are $180 for Jan 1 - Dec 31.  The initial $20 fee to try-out with the team will be deducted from your membership fee.

Where and When Do We Practice?

Spring/Summer/Fall Practice Schedule:
- Meet @ GBCS Athletic Field

Winter Practice Schedule:

- Front Entrance of old GBCS high school on Eliza St.
- Blue Dolphin pool on Marshall St.
- Cemetery Hill on Graham St. [off Aiken St.]


Practices take place:
Tuesday at 5:30pm
Saturday at 9:00am


Please Bring:

- Wear your team uniform to all workouts
- Water bottle
- Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions
- Lots of energy and a BIG SMILE

Membership Criteria

*Coyotes coaching is free.

*For new members in grade 1-12 there is an initial non-refundable $180 uniform, insurance and registration fee with the Minor Track Association (MTA).  The uniform fee will cover the cost of a short sleeve t-shirt.

*For interested athletes or members older than grade 12 there is an initial non-refundable $180 fee to become an Athletics Ontario (AO) member.  Registration fees must be paid separately and are based on the athlete age and type of registration.

*Members who register with both MTA and AO will received a combined membership fee.

*Minimum age required is 7 years old.

*Attending both weekly team workouts year round is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.

*Following our recommended training schedule is encouraged for best results.

*Parent[s] / Guardian[s] of kids under 10 years old are expected to be in attendance each time their child is at workout, but be adequately distanced from the athletes.

*Arrive on time for workouts.

*New runners considering joining the Coyotes should fill out a temporary membership form and contact the team at georgianbaycoyotes@hotmail.com.  New runners will need to complete 3 tryout workouts during which their ability, dedication and coachability will be assessed.
