Who Are We?
The Georgian Bay Coyotes Track Club is a non-profit organization, which started in August 2010. We are registered through Athletics Ontario and Ontario Minor Track and Field Association.
Our MISSION is to provide quality coaching and training for middle and long distance runners of all ages. Our VISION is to help each athlete achieve their personal best in a positive and uplifting environment. There is a non-refundable initial $200 fee to join the team. This covers your MTA insurance fee [for grades 1-8] or your non-competitive AO insurance fee for non-competitive high school students as well as your uniform; consisting of a jacket, short sleeve tee, race singlet and socks. Minimum age is 7 years old. Competitive High School and older will have a higher Athletics Ontario membership fee. |

Where Do We Practice?
Spring/Summer/Fall Practice Schedule:
- Meet @ GBCS Athletic Field Winter Practice Schedule: -Olivet Baptist Church on Ivan St. [close to Tim Horton's] -Cemetery Hill on Graham St. [off Aitken St.] -Front Entrance of GBCS high school on Eliza St. Please Bring: -Wear your team uniform to all workouts - Water bottle -Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions -Lots of energy and a BIG SMILE TUESDAY @ 5:30pm SATURDAY @ 9am Each workout lasts about 1 hr. |
Membership Criteria
*Coyotes coaching is free.
*There is an initial non-refundable $200 uniform and insurance fee with Minor Track and Field for kids grade 1-8 or with Athletics Ontario for non-competitive high school students. [Minimum age is 7 years old]. The uniform fee will cover the cost of a jacket, short sleeve tee, racing singlet and 1 pair of socks.
Competitive High School students and older have higher registration fees as competitive athletes through Athletics Ontario.
Highly competitive athletes in grades 5-8 have the option to also join AO and will have additional fees for AO membership.
*Attending both team weekly workouts year round is strongly encouraged. Minimum of one per week is mandatory.
*Following our recommended training schedule is encouraged for best results.
*Parent[s] / Guardian[s] of kids under 12 years old are expected to be in attendance each time their child is at workout.
*Arrive on time for workouts.
*New runners considering joining the Coyotes are welcome to attend one trial workout to give us a "test drive".
*All members are required to purchase a Coyotes team uniform item annually and update it as you outgrow it, as it wears out or you loose it. Additional uniform options are available. Uniform orders are usually placed in the Winter, Spring and Fall.
